SUNDAY WORDS
''Every life form should turn to dust. Unity should be eternal,'' Reverend Amos Howell said. Frowning, he focused on every face.
He glanced at the sky every now and then. His arms were sometimes raised. He turned to every face another time.
''Unity should be good for everyone. Powerful. Flawless.''
''Reverend?''
''Unity is wonderful. Everyone should be together. Become one with Unity. Smile together. Sob with one another. Suffer with one another.'' One smile caused Reverend Amos Howell's face to stretch.
''Reverend?''
''Hmm?'' Reverend Amos Howell turned to Kara after another frown formed. He viewed her blinking twice.
Kara scowled. ''You're not helping with teaching Sunday school lessons by revealing that creepy smile or after mentioning children suffering! About Unity? Knock it off!'' she said.
Reverend Amos Howell found himself standing near a church in Smallville. He blinked repeatedly as soon as he viewed many children trembling with wide eyes.

VOLCANA'S ATTACK
CHAPTER 1
Kara began to scowl after she viewed Volcana running out of a jewelry shop in Metropolis. Her eyes were on the latter's new rings and diamond necklace. ''Causing trouble again, Volcana?'' she muttered. Kara glanced from the bags of clothes she carried to Reverend Amos Howell. She placed the bags in his arms. His sudden scowl never bothered her.
''I remember preaching for Unity. I'm carrying bags for you?'' He glanced at the dark sky.
Volcana turned to Reverend Amos Howell and Kara before she ceased running. One corner of her mouth went up. Reverend Amos Howell's long hair and preacher outfit appealed to her. She approached Reverend Amos Howell and viewed him tensing. Volcana kissed him on the lips. She viewed him blushing and wide eyes.
Kara shuddered. ''We just had a nice lunch!'' she said.
A tentacle emerged from Reverend Amos Howell's mouth before the bags were dropped and Volcana released him. It extended to where she stood.
Volcana stepped to the side and frowned. ''Our daughter is going to have pyrokinesis.''
Kara glowered at Volcana. ''I just ate! Remember?''
CHAPTER 2
Volcana's smile returned before fire formed around her hands. After she stretched her arms, fire emerged from palms. She watched while Reverend Amos Howell barely dodged fire and the tentacle returned to his mouth. Volcana watched as Reverend Amos Howell and Kara ran into a shop. ''Hmm?'' Her eyes were wide after a sudden downpour.
Volcana's legs shook as her body weakened. She had to find shelter as soon as possible before she ran.
The sight of Kara's new scowl caused Reverend Amos Howell to tilt his head to one side. ''Volcana won't get far with the necklace and rings, Kara.''
The wet bags were viewed. ''I understand,'' Reverend Amos Howell said to Kara.
THE END
VOLCANA'S FUN
Volcana smiled after she approached a restaurant in Metropolis. ''This is going to be fun. Something to do,'' she said.
Volcana continued to smile as she focused on her fists and fire appeared around them. She aimed the fists at the restaurant door before she heard footsteps. She looked back.
Supergirl frowned and hovered near a preacher as the latter carried two shopping bags. She watched while Volcana scowled.
''You're not going to ruin my fun,'' Volcana said.
The preacher grinned. ''We won't ruin your fun. The downpour might.''
Volcana blinked twice and glanced at the dark sky. She cried out the minute rain contacted her. She focused on Supergirl.
''Are you going to summon the cops?''
Supergirl began to smile. ''Later. After you suffer.''
Volcana swayed before she fell on her side. Her eyes widened as soon as the man preached about unity for a long time.

ONE CURFEW
CHAPTER 1
Supergirl viewed Reverend Amos Howell eating a cake slice in the kitchen and smiled. *I'll battle a few villains after curfew. I should return before the preacher finishes his cake.* Supergirl went outside and flew above trees. *Which villains to battle? The Female Furies? Volcana?* she thought.
Supergirl's smile remained after she viewed Volcana standing near trees and fire appearing on her palms. She flew to Volcana with her arms extended. Supergirl's hands formed fists. She brought her arm back before Volcana stepped to one side. Her eyes were on the latter's scowl. A frown replaced Supergirl's smile. ''Why are you here?''
Volcana smiled and shrugged at the same time. ''Something to do.''
One of Supergirl's eyebrows went up. ''Burning trees in Smallville?'' She viewed Volcana shrugging again.
''Something to do.'' Volcana released fire from her palms and viewed Supergirl dodging everything. She cried out after Supergirl's fists knocked her down. She scowled another time and stood. ''I'll look for something else to do.'' Volcana began to flee.
Eyes widened the minute Supergirl remembered Reverend Amos Howell eating a cake slice. *I might be able to fly into my bedroom before he finishes the cake slice.* Supergirl began to fly to the farm. She landed on the floor and approached the kitchen. Her eyes were wide again as soon as they were on a scowling Reverend Amos Howell standing in the doorway. He never blinked. The stern preacher.
''Did you enjoy your cake?'' Supergirl wished to know after she shuddered.
CHAPTER 2
Reverend Amos Howell continued to glower before he stepped to one side. The empty plate was revealed.
''You won't depart from the farm for two months,'' Reverend Amos Howell said.
Supergirl's eyes widened again. ''You're not able to punish me. You're not my father.''
''I'm your father when Jonathan isn't present.''
Supergirl began to shudder another time.
''You should go to bed.''
Supergirl raised her shoulders and scowled at the same time. Her hands formed fists at either side of her body. She stuck her tongue out and crossed her eyes after Reverend Amos Howell turned his back. *Volcana is having fun* she thought as the villain continued to cause chaos in Smallville.
THE END
THE SPREE
Kara's eyes widened after they settled on a sobbing toddler. She approached the girl clad in a dress with her blonde hair in pigtails. She never expected to see a toddler wandering the streets of Gotham City. Kara tried to remember hearing about the girl. Something familiar about her. Something Barbara Gordon mentioned earlier.
''You're Baby-Doll. One of Batman's villains.''
Baby-Doll's eyes were wide before she blinked. A frown appeared on her young face.
''You're a thirty-year-old woman in a toddler's body. The former star of Love That Baby. That show was a bit boring.''
Baby-Doll's lower lip trembled prior to a new scowl. She ran from Kara and Reverend Amos Howell before one crime spree.
Reverend Amos Howell frowned at Kara. ''She won't get far. Let's visit Barbara for a few hours.''
Kara nodded. After eventually approaching Barbara's door, she paused. She saw a note on it.
''Kara. Reverend Amos Howell. I have the flu now. New plans to hang out after I'm better. Sorry!''
Frowning, Kara glanced at Amos. ''A spree for two hours?''
Amos eventually scowled and carried many bags within a shop. He tried to see around the bags. ''I prefer being near a villain and a crime spree instead of going on a shopping spree.''
THE END
YOU NEVER KNOW
Supergirl never knew how many hours went by as she battled Baby-Doll. She remembered wishing to find villains to battle in Gotham City a few hours ago. So she thought Baby-Doll was a sobbing toddler. That was until the sobbing toddler smiled and aimed a doll at her. A doll with a gun in it. Mr. Happy-Head.
Supergirl never knew how many bullets she flew from. A memory of Baby-Doll introducing herself. A catchphrase after the first bullet was released.
''I didn't mean to.''
''Why are you here, Baby-Doll?''
''For fun. A crime spree every now and then.'' Baby-Doll used her doll to strike Supergirl's arm. She viewed the latter wincing and ran from her.
Scowling, Supergirl almost pursued Baby-Doll before she remembered Reverend Amos Howell. The stern preacher. Her ''father'' when Jonathan Kent wasn't present. She recalled how he always looked ahead without blinking and shuddered. How he scowled sometimes.
Perhaps he wasn't going to wait for her when she returned to the farm. She smiled and relaxed.
Supergirl's eyes eventually widened the minute she viewed Reverend Amos Howell scowling and standing in a doorway.
''I never knew about your location. Martha and Jonathan worried about you. Returning after curfew!'' Reverend Amos Howell said in a stern tone. He slapped Supergirl across the face. Reverend Amos Howell viewed her wincing. He turned and went inside.
Supergirl began to wince again.
''I thought Baby-Doll was cruel.''
THE END
KARA THOUGHT
Frowning, Kara viewed Reverend Amos Howell as he approached many people in Smallville. She heard him while he preached about unity. His master. Not the concept. His alien master capable of controlling minds. Conquering worlds.
Kara opened her eyes and sat up in bed. One glance at her bedroom walls. *A memory. Unity abandoned his preacher recently. My family adopted Reverend Amos Howell after he approached our farm.* She remembered another thing before her eyes widened. *Church!*
After dressing, Kara ran to a church in Smallville. She paused the minute she heard Reverend Amos Howell's voice from within the church.
''Unity should be good for everyone.''
Kara's eyes flew open again before she scowled. *I remember seeing tears in the preacher's eyes recently. Reverend Amos Howell remembered his moments with Unity. I guessed he yearned to be near his master again. Was he willing to lure others to Unity again?* Kara refused to allow Reverend Amos Howell to gather others for Unity. Assuming Unity returned to him.
Kara ran into the building and viewed Reverend Amos Howell preaching near a crowd.
There was a pause as everyone turned to Kara. Their eyes were on her before she sat near Martha and Jonathan Kent.
Kara heard songs from Reverend Amos Howell and winced. Her punishment after she assumed Reverend Amos Howell was up to no good and
overslept.
THE END
FOLLOW PREACHERS
Kara tilted her head to one side after Reverend Amos Howell abandoned the farm. ''What are you up to?'' She wondered if he wished to return to Unity. Even after his master abandoned him recently. Perhaps he continued to consider himself as Unity's preacher. She recalled Amos usually scowling near his bedroom window.
*I guess you don't remember Unity hitting you for failing to return with any humans for him to control earlier. I guess you don't remember my parents taking you in. I'll bet you refuse to recall your bruises from Unity. I hear you as you sob in your bedroom sometimes.*
''Kara, it's time to feed the chickens!'' Martha Kent said. She smiled as Kara approached her. ''Please complete other farm tasks as well.'' She viewed Kara's shoulders slumping.
Two hours later, Kara walked to the kitchen and viewed a happy Reverend Amos Howell standing near his foster family. There was a large chocolate cake on the table. ''You baked a cake?''
Amos turned to Kara and smiled before he nodded. ''I went to the general store to obtain everything for the cake earlier. I wanted to thank Martha and Jonathan for taking me in a week ago.''
''Oh. I see,'' Kara said.
Amos continued to smile for the rest of the evening. There weren't new tears.
THE END
ALMOST MIDNIGHT
Kara heard footsteps by her bedroom before she opened her eyes and sat up. She began to glance at a clock. ''Almost midnight?''
She frowned and got out of bed. Kara walked to a doorway. Her eyes were on Reverend Amos Howell as he scowled and wandered. One eyebrow
went up.
Kara dressed and followed Reverend Amos Howell. She watched while he opened the door and abandoned the farm. *Hm?* she thought.
Kara closed the door before she continued to follow him. *Are you searching for Unity? Your master abandoned you recently.*
After Kara followed Amos to a few trees, she paused. *I guess you don't remember Unity hitting you for not returning with others for him to control. I guess you're forgetting about your previous tears and bruises. You're not remembering my parents adopting you.*
Kara's eyes flew open the minute Amos turned to her and scowled. It was the same scowl he used if enemies crossed their paths as they ran errands. One smile that stretched his face. The fact that he was willing to hurt others.
''It's almost midnight. Why are you here?''
Reverend Amos Howell continued to glower. ''The area where Unity first appeared. Where I became his first victim before midnight.''
''One anniversary?''
Amos nodded.
''You don't recall Unity hitting you? Abandoning you?''
Amos scowled at Kara another time. ''Part of me wished to be Unity's preacher again.''
''Unity was going to forgive you if you returned to him?''
There was another nod.
''Forget the past. Focus on the present. You're with a loving family. You're not Unity's preacher any longer.''
Kara viewed Amos looking ahead and his body tensing. ''The other part remembers being controlled by Unity?'' She watched while his hands formed fists. ''I guess I'm correct.''
''Focus on the present,'' Amos said. After looking ahead again, he recalled Unity using a tentacle to hit him. Knock him down. Cause him to scowl. A new memory consisted of Martha and Jonathan Kent letting him into their home. They always smiled near him.
Amos began to smile as tears ran down his face. His body shook prior to a frown. He found himself on his knees. Sobbing.
His cruel master. His kind foster family.
Kara wrapped her arms around the man's shoulders. She viewed Reverend Amos Howell's tears as his shoulders moved up and down with every sob. It was after midnight when she tried to repair the preacher's shattered heart.
THE END
THE LONG BATTLE
Supergirl battled Volcana for what seemed like hours. She tried to fly from every fire attack before the latter dodged her kicks and punches. She wasn't certain how long the battle lasted. Supergirl recalled viewing a happy Volcana running out of a general store in Smallville. Her eyes were on food in the latter's arms. ''Are you hungry? Looking for something to do, Volcana?''
''Both,'' Volcana said.
After the memory, Supergirl pulled her arm back and punched Volcana's shoulder before the latter fell on her side. A smile formed as soon as she scowled and stood. Supergirl watched while Volcana dropped food and fled. She turned to a church. Her eyes widened at a snail's pace. Another memory appeared.
Supergirl remembered Reverend Amos Howell always preaching within the church and helping with teaching Sunday school.
His usual scowl if she was late. His usual scowl for various reasons when they were with Jonathan and Martha Kent.
A few seconds later, Supergirl flew to a farm and into her bedroom before she dressed. She sat with Martha and Jonathan after she entered the church. She turned to Reverend Amos Howell as he preached and glowered at her. Her eyes were crossed while she stuck her tongue out. She winced the minute Reverend Amos Howell began to sing. Her shoulders slumped.
A long battle earlier. It was going to be a long day.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
The Sewer King smiled by four pet alligators. ''We were together for some time. Yes. Yes. Yes. We were. We were.''
A new frown formed after the Sewer King turned to a barren area. He remembered sending his children to pick pockets.
''We were together. Yes. Yes. Yes. We were.''
THE END
THE OTHER EVENING
It was the usual evening. The Sewer King viewed his children returning from picking pockets. His eyes remained on them while they placed various valuables on the floor. The valuables looked similar. He frowned and approached six pet alligators.
The happy Sewer King viewed a light green alligator. Something different.
THE END
ANOTHER MORNING
The Sewer King began to smile by a pile of valuables. Pretties his children obtained for him recently.
He walked to three pet alligators and viewed one barren area. Glowering, he recalled a sick alligator's demise recently.
Tears ran down the Sewer King's face. Another morning without a pet alligator.
THE END
THE OBITUARY
A scowl formed on the Sewer King's face after he read the obituary in the newspaper. He dropped the newspaper before he walked to four pet alligators. A few tears ran down his face. The Sewer King tried to smile. ''You'll be with me. My mother?'' He began to sob.
THE END
THE MAN'S CHOCOLATE
A smile appeared on the Sewer King's face after many children appeared with valuables and chocolate. ''Lots and lots of pretties for your king. Lots and lots of sweets. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.''
The Sewer King devoured every chocolate before he winced. He thought his children smiled and exchanged glances.
THE END
A CHRISTMAS GIFT
The Sewer King smiled as soon as his children appeared with lots and lots of pretties. He viewed them placing the valuables near his boots. ''Wonderful Christmas presents. Yes. Yes. Yes.''
The Sewer King continued to smile. ''My gift for you? I won't yell tonight.''
The children began to smile.
THE END
CHRISTMAS ALLIGATORS
The Sewer King laughed in a gentle tone the minute his children returned from the streets. His eyes were on every valuable they placed in front of him. He still smiled after he lifted two items. The Sewer King approached pet alligators.
''Merry Christmas.''
Alligators wore reindeer antlers and snarled.
THE END
THE CHRISTMAS PRESENTS
Wendell smiled after his happy parents revealed a new toy alligator. A wonderful Christmas gift. He cuddled the toy before he thanked his parents.
Years later, Wendell was the Sewer King. Shunned by society. He used children to pick pockets.
New toy alligators were his first toy's friends. Wonderful presents.

AFTER ACTING
A smile appeared on Baby's face as she viewed a chocolate cake slice. She began to devour the slice.
She paused and viewed her shocked family. ''I didn't mean to.''
The Love That Baby episode ended.
Baby aka Baby-Doll smiled in her living room. Families always on tape. *Rewind time.*
THE END
BABY-DOLL'S BEDTIME
Baby-Doll got under a blanket and smiled before she focused on the television set in her bedroom.
Repeats of Love That Baby aired. She always enjoyed viewing herself in episodes and hearing her catchphrase. ''I didn't mean to.''
Baby-Doll scowled when Cousin Spunky shoved her head into a cake. Nightmares?

''Merry Christmas.''
Alligators wore reindeer antlers and snarled.
